HCYA will head out on the road to face off against the St. John XXIII Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Back in November, HCYA suffered a rough 62-36 defeat at the hands of Northland Christian. HCYA has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, St. John XXIII had to suffer through a rough 82-42 loss at the hands of St. John's. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. John XXIII in their matchups with St. John's: they've now lost nine in a row.
HCYA's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. John XXIII, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
HCYA skirted past St. John XXIII 68-65 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was St. John XXIII's Troy Randolph, who scored 18 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for HCYA to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
