The PikeView Panthers will challenge the Greenbrier West Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. PikeView is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between PikeView and Greenbrier East, and PikeView kept the tradition alive. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans on Saturday, sneaking past 7-5.

Shelby Maddox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emma Weiss was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Compton, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, Greenbrier West earned a 7-2 win over Mount View on Saturday.
Brilee Redden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Redden was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Diana Porter and Jenna Hunter did most of the damage at the plate: Porter went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Hunter went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Hunter has launched this season.
PikeView's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Greenbrier West, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. PikeView has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greenbrier West struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
PikeView came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenbrier West when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
