Basketball Game Preview: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams vs. Forbes Road

Bryce Nicholson was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 24 points and nine steals. Nicholson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Lance Jones was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Forbes Road had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Fannett Metal by a score of 50-42. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but Forbes Road was the better team in the second half.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Forbes Road, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area came out on top in a nail-biter against Forbes Road when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 54-51. Does Turkeyfoot Valley Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forbes Road turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
