The Tonasket Tigers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They escaped with a win against Okanogan by the margin of a single free throw, 55-54. That's another feather in the cap for Tonasket, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tonasket's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jade Ramon, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The match was Ramon's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Tompkins, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Tonasket's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Okanogan, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Tonasket will head out on the road to face off against Warden at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Tonasket is ranked 33rd). Okanogan will be home for the holidays to greet Colville at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Colville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
