It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Hamilton Wildcats ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against Booker T. Washington by a score of 85-77. The win was just what Hamilton needed coming off of a 75-53 loss in their prior contest.
Hamilton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Matthews out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Matthews set a new season high mark in blocks with four. Devan McGee was another key contributor, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds.
Hamilton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Memphis Business Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Memphis Business Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Booker T. Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Manassas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
