Lutheran-Northeast took down Laurel-Concord/Coleridge 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Battle Creek made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,980 from 6,338. The improvement came about via a 54-41 victory over Oakland-Craig last week.
The Braves' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Bellar threw for 135 and 2 touchdowns and Eli McKeown had 112 yards receiving. On the ground Nate Gray chipped in 228 yards.
Battle Creek's dynamic duo of Bellar and McKeown proved tough for Oakland-Craig to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Bellar and Gray gave the Braves a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Trev Bode also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
On the heels of Bellar and Gray, the Braves have had great success on offense. Bellar leads the league in passing with 233 yards, while Gray has rushed for 503 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is West Holt's Ryan Linders, with 128 yards on 2 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place West Holt takes on second place Lutheran-Northeast. Last week, the Huskies bested Wakefield, while the Eagles defeated the Bears.
Battle Creek led C2 District 6 in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Oakland-Craig. Gray in the win.
