Bear Grass Charter lost against North Duplin back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bear Grass Charter Bears lost 66-42 to the North Duplin Rebels. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Bear Grass Charter still got an impressive performance from Hylee(Al) Jarrett, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Bembridge, who posted ten points.

North Duplin had a senior duo take command as Addy Higginbotham dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten steals and Tateyawna Faison dropped a double-double on 20 points and 25 boards. Faison's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Fulghum, who put up nine points.

Bear Grass Charter's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for North Duplin, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Bear Grass Charter will venture away from home to take on Cape Hatteras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Duplin, they will welcome Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neuse Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
