Softball Recap: Burroughs' Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After a string of three wins, Burroughs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 7-4 to the El Toro Chargers.

Valentina Clemons was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Burroughs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karlee Earl, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Sophie Rangsiyawong, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Burroughs' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for El Toro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Burroughs will welcome Muir at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Toro, they will head out on the road to take on San Juan Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
