Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pierce). They breezed past the Schuyler Warriors to the tune of 61-20 on Friday. With the Bluejays ahead 35-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Pierce got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiegan Werner out in front who rushed for 21 yards and two TDs.

Werner was just one part of a punishing run game: Pierce was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 292 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Schuyler, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pierce will face off against Sidney at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays will need to watch out since the Red Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Schuyler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
