The victory was all the more spectacular given Lassen's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 786th in California, while Virginia City is ranked 43rd in Nevada).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lassen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Tow, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Tow's third in a row with at least ten points. Conner Finks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 6 steals.
Lassen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Virginia City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Lassen's road trip will continue as they head out to face Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Virginia City, they will square off against Battle Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Battle Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 321 points over their last five matches.
