Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Catholic). They never let the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on four straight.
West Catholic got a massive performance out of Drew Brown, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of David Britenfeld, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Thornapple Kellogg, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Catholic will welcome Zeeland West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thornapple Kellogg, they will square off against Wayland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
