It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hill Country Christian Rams can now relate to. They fell just short of Baytown Christian by a score of 46-44. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Hill Country Christian still got an impressive performance from Jonas West, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Connor West was in the mix as well, providing Hill Country Christian with three touchdowns.
Hill Country Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Baytown Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Hill Country Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Baytown Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Atonement Academy. Atonement Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
