Given Berean Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 215th in Tennessee, while Dalton Academy is ranked 570th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austen Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Barret Hasley, who scored 12 points.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Berean Academy, bringing their record for this year to 16-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Dalton Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.
Berean Academy will be playing at home against Sale Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dalton Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tennessee Christian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dalton Academy is coming into the game with four straight losses on the road, meaning Tennessee Christian Prep will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
