The biggest upset of the week belonged to Villa Park, who took down 48th ranked Foothill, 25-21. Justin Mottram ran for 193 yards in the win.
Jack Gilchrist and Julian Moss provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Spartans. The connection went for 81 yards, the longest such play in Century this season.
Moss was the best wideout in the league this week as the Knights fell to Villa Park. Moss racked up four receptions for 145 yards. Jarrell Moss helped Foothill's passing attack out by catching four balls for 82 yards.
Richie Main put up the best numbers through the air as Brea Olinda lost to Esperanza. He finished with a total of 17 completions for 191 yards and one touchdown. Main's favorite target this week was Nicky Feamster, who caught four passes for 54 yards.
Foothill's Gilchrist and Moss have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gilchrist has thrown for 1050 yards this season, while Moss, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 519 yards. Troy Kurtz from Canyon leads the league in rushing with 685 yards.
A big matchup in Century this week will be when El Dorado takes on Dusan Ancich's team. As it stands, the Golden Hawks are in fourth, while the Spartans are in first.
El Dorado moved up to 261 from 314 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 42-39 win over El Modena helped Shawn Racobs' team improve its standing.
