Miami-Yoder extended their losing streak  to eight  on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were dealt  a  69-6 loss at the hands of the Bethune Bobcats. The Buffaloes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
As for Bethune, their  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Ismael Perla was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 233 yards and five  touchdowns on only 14 carries. Those  five  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Angel Millan was another key player, rushing for 125 yards and one  TD on only six carries.
 Miami-Yoder will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Idalia at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 31st. As for Bethune, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Manzanola  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
