Lynchburg-Clay is 8-2 against North Adams since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will face off against the Green Devils at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lynchburg-Clay's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Miami Trace. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Noel Barnhill made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Adams). They put the hurt on Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington with a sharp 16-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Green Devils, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Lynchburg-Clay, North Adams also got a great game from a two-way player: Marnie Tolle. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Tolle was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Armstrong, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Riley Woods was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
North Adams kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.
The victory got Lynchburg-Clay back to even at 4-4. As for North Adams, their record is now 8-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Lynchburg-Clay has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like North Adams struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
