The Joaquin Rams pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to Normangee. Joaquin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Normangee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pj Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Edwards' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Kirven, who scored 16 points along with 6 steals.
Joaquin now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Normangee, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Joaquin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Sabine at 8:00 p.m. As for Normangee, they will face off against Wells at 9:20 a.m. on Friday. Wells will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1206th, while Normangee is ranked 380th).
