4A Region IV District 32 recap September 4, 2013
Mission moved up to 542 from 573 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region IV District 32. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Palmview 23-13.
Edcouch-Elsa was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fifth in the league. The Yellowjackets defeated Weslaco 35-14 earlier in the week.
Veterans Memorial's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Santos Villarreal threw for 258 and 5 touchdowns and Freddy Gonzalez had 80 yards receiving. On the ground John Garcia chipped in 70 yards.
