Prince Edward County will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Altavista Combined School at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Prince Edward County had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-72 to King William.
Meanwhile, Altavista Combined School took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Lunenburg Central with a 21-17 win.
Altavista Combined School's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Prince Edward County's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Altavista Combined School can add another positive mark to their record or if Prince Edward County can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Altavista Combined School's step.
