The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Frontier Academy Wolverines at 1:30 p.m. on February 14th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Windsor Charter Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to Bishop Machebeuf.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Andrew Schams, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Cole, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Frontier Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 60-55 to Platte Valley. Frontier Academy has struggled against Platte Valley recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Windsor Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Frontier Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Windsor Charter Academy strolled past Frontier Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 64-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor Charter Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
