Basketball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends St. Clair's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but St. Clair unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hermann Bearcats. The Bulldogs lost against the Bearcats in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-42 score last time.

St. Clair's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hermann, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Clair will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mehlville at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hermann will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Sullivan at 4:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
