There's no place like home for the Syracuse Rockets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-41 win over Arlington on Friday. This was a revenge game for Syracuse, as the team was forced to settle for a 63-54 loss when these two played last Saturday.
Arlington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Koger, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Koger hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieryn Grothe, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Syracuse will head out on the road to challenge Douglas County West on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
