The Walter Johnson Wildcats will square off against the Churchill Bulldogs at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.

 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Churchill). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Richard Montgomery 42-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matches by more than 24  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Churchill can attribute much of their success to  Vasi Hallas, who punched in a rushing score, and also threw for 90 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.  James Snead was in the mix  too, providing Churchill with a touchdown.

 Walter Johnson's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 4-4. As for Churchill, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Walter Johnson couldn't quite finish off Churchill when the teams last played  back in October of 2023 and fell  32-30. Thankfully for Walter Johnson,  David Avit (who rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
