The Liberty Lancers entered their tilt with the Vista Ridge Wolves with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Liberty put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 61-41 win on Tuesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Liberty has managed all season.
London Praytor was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Cameron Waithe-Cunningham was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Vista Ridge still got an impressive performance from Quentin Monck, who scored 18 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Monck scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Avance, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Vista Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Liberty's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Vista Ridge, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Liberty will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 62.81 points so far this season, Doherty's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Lancers better be ready for a challenge. As for Vista Ridge, they will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rampart is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.
