The Manual Thunderbolts lost against the Forge Christian Fury back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Manual fell 48-36 to Forge Christian.
Despite the loss, Manual saw an underclassman step up: Dayjah Fox dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Fox hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaci Collins-Falcon, who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forge Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aleeza Olson, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Olson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Geypens, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Manual's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Forge Christian, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5.
Manual will face off against DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forge Christian, they will be playing at home against Jefferson Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
