6A District 12 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Naples extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 12 this week by beating Barron Collier, 42-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Naples took down the Cougars 42-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kilton Anderson threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 37 yards in the win.
Bill Kramer's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Manny Morgan chipped in 123 yards. Travis Manhardt helped Naples' passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
Tyler Byrd was the best wideout in the league this week as the Golden Eagles beat Barron Collier. Byrd racked up three receptions for 76 yards.
Palmetto Ridge's Sean Hatch and Javion Morgan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hatch has thrown for 698 yards this season, while Morgan has 21 catches for 452 yards. Naples' Morgan leads the league in rushing yards with 984.
The Golden Eagles led 6A District 12 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Mark Rosenbalm's team. Anderson in the win.
