The Southern Alamance Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Orange Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Alamance has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Person scored an imposing 70 points on Friday, Southern Alamance still came out on top. Southern Alamance walked away with a 77-70 win over Person.
It was another big night for Chris Epps, who scored 35 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Moore, who scored six points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Orange's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Person. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Southern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Orange, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.
Southern Alamance came up short against Orange when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 72-68. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Orange's Coleman Cloer, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. Now that Southern Alamance knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
