On Wednesday, the Barrington Eagles faced the North Kingstown Skippers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Barrington narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Skippers 48-45. The victory was familiar territory for Barrington who now have 11 in a row.
Janaya Prince - baquero continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isys Dunphy, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Barrington pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for North Kingstown, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barrington will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27. As for North Kingstown, they will head out on the road to challenge the Townies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
