The DuSable Panthers waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Hirsch with points to spare, taking the game 22-3.
DuSable found their leader in underclassman Lanae Harris, who scored 10 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of DuSable's points.
DuSable pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Despite that those victories, the team's offense hasn't been rolling: across that stretch, they only averaged 8.7 points per game. As for Hirsch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuSable will take on ACERO Garcia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. ACERO Garcia comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hirsch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harlan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Harlan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
