Haynes on Monday. Thurgood Marshall Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as E.L. Haynes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2016.
Leading E.L. Haynes to victory were Jency Beatriz and Juan Creamer. Beatriz scored 11 points, while Creamer scored 15 points. Victor Bruce Jr was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Thurgood Marshall Academy's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for E.L. Haynes, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.
Thurgood Marshall Academy will take on KIPP College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (KIPP College Prep is ranked 23rd, while Thurgood Marshall Academy is ranked 40th). As for E.L. Haynes, they will head out on the road to take on Washington Latin Public Charter School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
