The Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers suffered their biggest defeat since January 4th on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 60-34 defeat at the hands of Carnegie. Mountain View-Gotebo lost against Carnegie in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-14 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain View-Gotebo lost, one person who can't be blamed is Paden Jackson. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with two steals.
Jalen Wallace continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carnegie, scoring 21 points along with eight assists and three steals. Wallace is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Mountain View-Gotebo's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Carnegie, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Mountain View-Gotebo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Corn Bible Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Carnegie, they will take on Shattuck at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
