The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will challenge the Laguna Creek Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Davis Sr. is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Davis Sr. needed a bit of extra time to put away Elk Grove. They had just enough and edged out the Thundering Herd 8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kaytlin LeBar-Triepke and Molly Roseen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, LeBar-Triepke tossed seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Meanwhile, Roseen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, LeBar-Triepke went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Roseen scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Sinclair, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
Davis Sr. kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Laguna Creek gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Liberty Ranch with a sharp 12-4 victory.
Claire Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Kate Saxton and Sophia Rials did most of the damage at the plate: Saxton scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Rials went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance gave Rials a new career-high in hits. Azariah Maddox was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Davis Sr.'s win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Laguna Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Davis Sr. was able to grind out a solid win over Laguna Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 4-1. Does Davis Sr. have another victory up their sleeve, or will Laguna Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
