Softball Recap: Red River Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Red River entered their tilt with Mansfield on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Mansfield Wolverines 14-4. 14 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Red River's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-5. As for Mansfield, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Red River will challenge Plain Dealing at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mansfield, they will square off against Southwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mansfield has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
