The Fort Yukon Eagles put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Tanalian 57-38.
Fort Yukon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nellie Ward, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Carroll, who scored 15 points.
Fort Yukon pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Tanalian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1.
Fort Yukon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tanalian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tuluksak on February 23rd.
