Western Alamance had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Williams on Friday. Western Alamance was the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over Williams. Considering the Warriors have won four matches by more than 17 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Beal was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Bayleigh Burris was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Graysen Saul, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Western Alamance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .567. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge suffered their closest defeat since February 25th on Friday. They fell just short of Eastern Alamance by a score of 6-4. The Fighting Red Wolves haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Cedar Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Lowry, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Reagan Simmons was another, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
The win was the third in a row for Western Alamance, bringing their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Cedar Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Western Alamance hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .500. However, it's not like Cedar Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
