On Friday New Milford take on Secaucus at 7:00 PM. New Milford are coming into the matchup hot, having won five in a row.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but New Milford ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Saturday. They were able to grind out a solid win over Lyndhurst, winning 14-7. Senior Bart Nativo was the offensive standout of the match for New Milford, as he rushed for 99 yards and 1 touchdown. Nativo has been a consistent playmaker for New Milford as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
As for Secaucus, Secaucus had a rough outing against Pompton Lakes three weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Secaucus took their contest against Harrison by a conclusive 27-6 score. Secaucus were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped New Milford to 5-0 and Secaucus to 2-2. The New Milford defense got after the quarterback against Lyndhurst to the tune of four sacks, so Secaucus's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
