Dove Creek led A-8 West - Western (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Plateau Valley. Dalton Randolph threw for 57 yards and one touchdown and ran for 64 yards in the win.
Nick Jones was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs topped the Cowboys. Jones tallied one reception for 36 yards. Tyler Ebberts helped Dove Creek's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Branson Mitchell was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 401 yards on 37 carries as Mancos beat Plateau Valley. Casey Rohweder also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.
Shane Baughman's team's Randolph and Ebberts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A-8 West - Western (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Randolph has thrown for 430 yards this season, while Ebberts, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has eight catches for 166 yards. Mitchell from the Bluejays leads the league in rushing with 1069 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dave Bristol's team takes on Mancos. As it stands, the Cowboys are in fourth, while Kyle Graff's team is in third.
Mitchell broke off the longest rushing play in the league this week with a 55-yard scamper against Nucla.
