The Saranac Spartans will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against the AuSable Valley Patriots at 4:30  p.m. Saranac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1  runs per game  this season.
 Saranac stacked  a  fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  10-3 margin over Franklin Academy.
  Seth Petrashune made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Petrashune was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Alex Clancy, who  went 2-for-5 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.  Zack Lucia was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, AuSable Valley fell victim to Lake Placid and their airtight pitching crew  on Saturday. They lost  8-0 to the Bombers. Having soared to a lofty 20  runs in the game before, AuSable Valley's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Saranac's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-2. As for AuSable Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record  this season.
 Everything went Saranac's way against AuSable Valley when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 as Saranac made off with  a  19-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saranac since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
