Basketball Recap: Mcclatchy Piles Up the Points Against River City

McClatchy entered their tilt with River City on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They breezed by the River City Raiders to the tune of 87-57. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 30 points or more this season.

McClatchy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kai Bradford out in front who went 9 for 20 on his way to 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. With that strong performance, Bradford is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Miller, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists.

McClatchy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.5 points per game. As for River City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

McClatchy will take on Stagg in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClatchy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Stagg likes a good challenge. As for River City, they and Woodland will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
