Valley Oaks CES has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Valley Oaks CES was the victim of a rough 53-27 defeat at the hands of Community Charter. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Oaks CES in their matchups with Community Charter: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Triumph Charter can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They blew past Lakeview Charter 57-33. Winning may never get old, but Triumph Charter sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 18 points. Garcia III is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Oswaldo Araiza was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Valley Oaks CES bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Triumph Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Valley Oaks CES was taken down by Triumph Charter 71-15 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Garcia III, who scored 26 points.
