Wakulla gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Tuesday. They blew past the Godby Cougars 14-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the War Eagles also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2024.
 George Crum looked comfortable as he  pitched 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Sam Bruce and  Owen Klees did most of the damage at the plate:  Bruce  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-2, while  Klees  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most  runs  Bruce has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josiah Pierini, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wakulla will hit the road for the first time this season to  challenge  Suwannee  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Godby, they will face off against Florida State University High School at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Godby is coming into the  contest on  a  four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
