Winters lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pierce, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bears a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Winters' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Pierce, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Winters didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against Durham on the 9th. As for Pierce, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
