Last Monday, Calvary Chapel Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Burns Sci-Tech, but they still walked away with a 43-39 win. The victory was just what Calvary Chapel Academy needed coming off of a 66-25 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, City of Life Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-41 to Foundation Academy.
City of Life Christian Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Faith Wener, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Wener is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Talia St hilaire was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Calvary Chapel Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for City of Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
