Adding to the longest winning streak in Wheat State (8 Man) this week, Solomon beat Little River 50-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Gorillas.
Peabody-Burns was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Flinthills. The Warriors came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Wakefield's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dylan Murphy threw for 133 and 3 touchdowns and Zack Melius had 114 yards receiving. On the ground Melius chipped in 208 yards. Trey Adams helped Wakefield's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 11 yards.
Melius was a passing and rushing force as the Bombers defeated Pike Valley. Melius' key target this week was Melius, who caught 3 passes for 114 yards.
He was 6-8 with 0 interceptions.
James Williams was a key player and the best on defense this week as Wakefield defeated the Panthers. He recorded 2 fumbles and grabbed 2 sacks.
Melius was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 208 yards on 18 carries as Christopher Freeman's team topped Pike Valley. Ethan Hammond also contributed to the rushing game with 59 yards on the ground.
6-foot-3 quarterback Sam Morgan of White City is the league leader in passing yards this season with 850. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Melius. The Wakefield star has 15 catches for 457 yards.
Fred Winsor of the Peabody-Burns is only 22 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 108 carries Winsor has accumulated 978 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Goessel takes on the Huskies. The Bluebirds are in eighth place, while White City is in seventh place.
John Keating's team took down Tescott 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Terrence Egger ran for 134 yards during the win.
