Despite the defeat, Cuthbertson saw an underclassman step up: Christian Mundy scored 20 points along with two steals. Mundy is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Alexis Juhl was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Cuthbertson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Marvin Ridge, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
Cuthbertson will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Porter Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three matches. As for Marvin Ridge, they will head out on the road to square off against the Sabres at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Mecklenburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Mavericks are ranked 25th).
