The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders lost against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Mary's Academy took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF. St. Mary's Academy has struggled against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
St. Mary's Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Garland, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Titus Varnado was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
St. Mary's Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
St. Mary's Academy will head out on the road to square off against Veritas Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Veritas Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Monday. As for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, they will be playing at home against Wichita HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wichita HomeSchool will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF surely won't give up without a fight.
