After losing to the Floyd Central Jaguars the last time they met, the Breathitt County Bobcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Breathitt County secured a 58-53 W over Floyd Central on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Breathitt County.
Despite the loss, Floyd Central still got an impressive performance from Riley Compton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Compton's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Laferty, who scored 13 points.
Breathitt County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Floyd Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Breathitt County will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckhorn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buckhorn is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Floyd Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Prestonsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prestonsburg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
