If Carthage was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Chapel Hill on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost  3-0 to the Spring Hill Panthers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 Carthage was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Spring Hill work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-19,  25-21.
Carthage's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-15. As for Spring Hill, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carthage is set to  take on  their familiar foe Pine Tree  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Spring Hill will  challenge  rival Kilgore  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
