Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Redeemer Christian Lions walked away with it. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 60-47 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Redeemer Christian needed coming off of a 87-57 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Redeemer Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Beau Suarez, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Suarez hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Miller-Edwards, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Redeemer Christian now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Cornerstone Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Redeemer Christian will face off against Saint Francis Catholic at TBD on Thursday. Saint Francis Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Redeemer Christian likes a good challenge. Cornerstone Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
