Ballard has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Doss Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ballard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 contests -- so hopefully the Dragons like a good challenge.
Even though Beth Haven scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, Ballard still came out on top. Ballard took their match against the Bearcats 78-66.
Meanwhile, Doss' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bullitt East. While losing is never fun, Doss can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Chargers are ranked 81st).
Ballard's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Doss, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Ballard was able to grind out a solid victory over the Dragons in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, winning 73-62. Will Ballard repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
